Better Business Bureau serving West Central Ohio This has been such a nasty scheme, designed to serve a two-fold purpose, solicit sensitive information from you and also to mine your database. It also inserts a virus into your company’s computer system that literally makes it useless. This monster has been around now for over a year and is still destroying and mining computer systems all across the country. All efforts to find and eliminate this thing have had limited success. About the time the Council of Better Business Bureaus thinks it’s knocked out one of these operations, more pop up. Making matters worse, it uses the good name of the BBB to perpetrate this insidious scheme, luring people into a trap that is expensive and dangerous. Also, despite numerous warnings, alerts, notices, and news articles in all media by the BBB, some companies still have not yet gotten the word. If you are reading this, please help us spread the word about this scam. The only way to stop this kind of criminal activity is to not respond or open this email when it arrives. If this happens to you, do not open the email. If you have, shut everything down making sure you are completely disconnected from the Internet. Then, notify your computer technician. Again, please spread the word amongst your colleagues and associates. If you or they have any questions, please call our office at 419-223-7010 or toll free 1-800-462-0468 and we will be glad to help. You may also email us at info@limabbb.org.
